There are lots of uses for hidden wirless spy cameras of which, detecting employee theft, capturing abusing carers, unfaithful partners, prying landlords and dishonest roommates are just a few.

1) Wireless spy cameras can be black and white or color.

You will get better object definition from a colour wireless spy camera but can be a little more pricey. The cost of black and white units have the tendency to be a touch less expensive and image resolution can be a little higher

2) Low light sensitivity

LUX is how the light sensitivity of a camera is measured. Spy cameras with better low light capabilities will have lower LUX ratings. For good low light ability you will need a spy camera with a rating of less than 0.1LUX. If you require pitch dark covert performance go for a spy camera unit with a rating of less than 0.03LUX.

3) Image Picture quality.

Measure. The more Television Lines your camera produces, the higher the quality of image will be. Professional private detectives will generally be satisfied with 380 Television Lines of resolution.

4) Is the Receiver included in the kit?

The receiver is connected to your viewing / recording device: TV, VCR, PC or Digital Video Recorder (DVR), in order to view / capture the images and sound from the wireless spy camera. If the receiver is not included as part of the package, determine how much extra the addition of a receiver will cost.

5) The transmission frequency.

This is the frequency range the wireless spy camera uses to broadcast the video signal to the receiver. There are presently 434MHz, 900MHz, 1.2GHz, 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz transmission frequencies ranges. Most good spy cameras are 2.4ghz and is sufficient for all covert surveillance operations.

Wireless interference can be experienced on any of the wireless ranges but due to the number of products that utilize them 434MHz and 900MHz can be particularly problematic.

6) The range of transmission

Otherwise known as #039;line of sight#039;, it is the maximum distance between the spycam and receiver without obstacles or interference . The specified range will vary from camera to camera and can be any thing from 50 metres to 200 metres.

7) Hidden Camera or Stand Alone

There are tiny wireless spy cameras specially developed to be obscured by the buyer, however, you can purchase pre-concealed units that are generally pre-built into ordinary looking every day objects. Teddy bears, Smoke detectors, Eye glasses, cigarette packets etc. So depending on what you require your spy camera for, you could purchase are pre-disguised unit and your all set to go. The wireless receiver part remains the same but pre-hiddden cameras can be easy and conveient solution as they are very easy to set up.

Warning: Whenever you work with a href=http://www.pakatak.co.ukminiature wireless camera/a you will most probably have to deal with obstructions and interference, so don#039;t accept the transmission range published as in reality the effective range will not go as far. Ask the store for a more realistic figure.

So now you have the required information to buy a high quality wireless spy camera, just bear in mind the 7 elements for picking one. It just maybe the difference between obtaining the evidence required or not!
